Executive Council of Dubai approves formation of Emirati Human Resources Development Council and Bicycle-Friendly City Strategy 2025

DUBAI, 21st April, 2021 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, today approved a series of decisions and strategic initiatives to nurture local talent at a meeting of The Executive Council. No fee increase at Dubai schools for 2021-22 academic year: KHDA

DUBAI, 15th March, 2021 (WAM) -- The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) today announced that private schools in Dubai will not be increasing tuition fees for the 2021-22 academic year. This is the second consecutive year that fees for Dubai schools have remained steady. The announcement follows the release of the annual Education Cost Index (ECI) calculated by the Dubai Statistics Centre, which measures annual changes in the costs of running a school, including salaries, rent and utilities. The ECI for this year stands at -2.58 per cent. Dubai to establish one of world’s largest energy-from-waste projects

DUBAI, 29th March, 2021 (WAM) -- Dubai Holding has partnered with Dubal Holding, ITOCHU Corporation, Hitachi Zosen Inova, BESIX Group and Tech Group to develop one of the world’s largest energy-from-waste (EfW) facility. The consortium of leading international companies will build and operate the AED 4 billion project under a 35-year concession period with Dubai Municipality. This landmark public-private partnership represents one of the most significant renewable energy investments in the United Arab Emirates. The Dubai Centre for Waste Processing, located in the Warsan area, will treat 5,666 tonnes of municipal solid waste produced by Dubai per day.
